Cooper er et britisk Formel 1 -hold grundlagt i 1946 af Charles Cooper og hans søn John. Sammen med Johns barndomsven Eric Brandon begyndte de i 1946 at bygge biler i Charles' lille garage i Surbiton . [1] I løbet af 1950'erne og begyndelsen af 1960'erne ændrede deres bagmotoriske bil Formel 1's ansigt.
Coopers storhedstid kom i 1959-1960 , hvor to konstruktørkopper hovedsageligt blev taget af Bruce McLaren og Jack Brabham .
