Formel 1-sæsonen 1988 er den 39. sæson af Formel 1- verdensmesterskabet . Det begyndte den 3. april 1988 og sluttede den 13. november , bestod af 16 etaper. I denne sæson skulle turboladede biler (med en boostgrænse på 2,5 bar) udstyres med 150 liters brændstoftanke i stedet for 195 liter til naturligt aspirerede biler. Tankning under løbet var stadig forbudt [1] .
