2001-sæsonen af World Rally Championship er den 29. sæson af World Rally Championship afholdt i regi af International Motor Sports Federation ( FIA ). Det omfattede 14 etaper og fandt sted fra 19. januar til 25. november. Sæsonen blev en af de mest tætte i mesterskabets historie - før sidste etape tog 4 rallykørere titlen - og endte med sejren til briten Richard Burns fra Subaru -teamet . Det var den engelske kørers første og eneste titel foran Fords Colin McRae , Mitsubishis Tommi Mäkinen samt den regerende verdensmester Marcus Grönholm fra producenternes vinderteam Peugeot .
