Pregnan (17β-ethylandrostan eller 10β,13β-dimethyl-17β-ethylgonan) er et C21-steroid med en gonankerne, en progesteron-precursor. Det er moderkulbrinte for to serier af steroider afledt af 5α-pregnan (oprindeligt allopregnan) og 5β-pregnan (17β-ethylethiocholan). Den har en gonan kerne.
5β-pregnane er en forløber for pregnandions, pregnanoloner og pregnandioler og findes hovedsageligt i urinen som et metabolisk produkt af 5β-pregnanforbindelser.
