Dihydrodeoxycorticosteron (5α-dihydrodeoxycorticosteron, 5α-DGDOKS, 21-hydroxy-5α-pregnan-20-on) er et mineralokortikoid steroidhormon , et neurosteroid . [1] Syntetiseret fra binyrehormonet deoxycorticosteron (DOX) af enzymet 5α-reduktase type I. [1] DGDOX er en gestagenreceptoragonist såvel som en positiv allosterisk modulator af GABAA - receptoren og er kendt for at have antikonvulsive virkninger. [1] [2]
