1996 International Touring Car Championship sæson

Den aktuelle version af siden er endnu ikke blevet gennemgået af erfarne bidragydere og kan afvige væsentligt fra den version , der blev gennemgået den 6. juni 2019; checks kræver 3 redigeringer .

Ændringer til den nye sæson

I 1996 blev DTM omdannet til ITC og kørte 13 løb fra 14. april til 10. november . FIA styrede mesterskabet, hvilket resulterede i stigende omkostninger og et fald i holdindtægter. Som et resultat besluttede Opel og Alfa Romeo først at reducere deres deltagelse og derefter stoppe helt.
