Telltale Engine er en cross-platform spilmotor udviklet af Telltale Games .
Den første version af spilmotoren blev lavet af Telltale Games i 2004 [1] , og kaldte den oprindeligt "Telltale Engine and Toolset". For at teste motoren udviklede og udgav Telltale Games det første spil, Telltale Texas Hold'em . Efter at have rettet fejlene udviklede virksomheden den første grafiske quest - Bone: Out from Boneville . Det seneste spil lavet på Telltale Tool-motoren er The Walking Dead: The Final Season .
Motoren understøtter følgende platforme: Microsoft Windows , macOS , iOS , Android , Playstation 3 og Playstation 4 , Xbox 360 og Xbox One , og PS Vita og Nintendo WiiU ( Minecraft: Story Mode ). Nintendo Wii understøttes ikke længere.
Spilmotoren i hvert spil bliver forbedret, filstrukturen ændrer sig.
De første versioner af Telltale Tool brugte Speex- codec til tale og effekter, og siden 2008 begyndte de at bruge FMOD -lydbiblioteket . Modeller til spillet eksporteres fra Autodesk Maya [2] .
