Nordis

North Ice er en tidligere polarforskningsstation under British North Greenland Expedition ( engelsk  ) (1952-1954) på ​​Grønlands Indlandsis . Stationskoordinater: 78°04′ s. sh. 38°29′ V e . Højde: 2345 m over havets overflade . Den britiske Nordgrønlands ekspedition blev ledet af kaptajn James Simpson .

Interessante fakta

• Den 9. januar 1954 registrerede stationen den laveste temperatur i Nordamerika - 66,1 °C [1] .
• Stationens navn står i kontrast til den tidligere britiske antarktiske polarstation , South Ice .
