Boerhávia [2] (også berhavia eller borhavia [3] , lat. Boerhávia ) er en slægt af planter af familien Nyctaginaceae , udbredt i tropiske og subtropiske egne af Jorden .
Slægten er opkaldt efter den hollandske læge og botaniker Hermann Boerhaave [4] .
Botanisk beskrivelse
Etårige eller flerårige urteagtige planter. Stængler oprejst, stigende eller oprejst. Bladene er modsatte, petiolate.
Blomsterne er biseksuelle, samlet i løse, terminale eller aksillære, kapiterede eller panikulære blomsterstande . Perianth campanulat eller tragtformet, 5-fliget. Støvdragere 1-8. Frøembryoet er buet.
