Chatterjee, Surav
Surav Chatterjee ( Sourav Chatterjee ; f. 26. november 1979, Calcutta, Indien) er en indisk matematiker , specialist i sandsynlighedsteorien. PhD (2005), professor ved Stanford University (siden 2013), Fellow Institute of Mathematical Statistics (2018 [3] ).
Uddannet fra Indian Statistical Institute med bachelor- (2000) og mastergrad (2002) i statistik. I 2005 modtog han sin Ph.D.-grad i statistik fra Stanford under Persi Diaconis , med sin afhandling "Concentration Inequalities with Exchangeable Pairs" [4] . Fra 2005 til 2011 ved University of California i Berkeley, assisterende og lektor. I 2009-2013 lektor ved New York Courant Institute. Siden 2012 har han været gæstelektor, siden 2013 har han været professor i statistik og matematik ved Stanford.
Har status som fastboende i USA.
