[1] ( lat. Xylota ) er en slægt af svævefluer fra underfamilien Eristalinae [2] [3] . Denne slægt omfattede tidligere de nu uafhængige slægter Brachypalpoides og Chalcosyrphus [4] .
Beskrivelse
Fluer med en aflang krop, der ligner savfluer . Maven er enten helt sort eller med gule eller grå pletter. Benene er for det meste sorte. Larver udvikler sig i råddent træ [2]
