Biografi

Ved legene i 1904 i St. Louis konkurrerede Mulcahy i double med sin landsmand William Varley . Sammen blev de mestre blandt doublepar (med en score på 10:03,2) og sølvmedaljevindere blandt toere uden styrmand.

I 1956 blev han optaget i US Rowing Association Hall of Fame.
