Kotis (gudinde)

Kotis ( Kotitto/Kotito ; anden græsk Κοτυττώ, Κοτυτώ, Κότυς ) er en thrakisk guddom [1] , hvis kult var udbredt i det antikke Grækenland. Hun nævnes af Aischylos , der taler om festen Kotitia blandt thrakerne (edonerne) [2] . Hendes fest blev fejret af athenerne [3] . Portico af Cotys blev opført ved Epidaurus [4] .

Til ære for gudinden i Korinth og Athen blev den religiøse orgiastiske festival cotittia [5] [6] fejret .
