Biografi

Sophia Charlotte er det fjerde barn i familien af ​​markgreve Georg Friedrich Karl af Brandenburg-Bayreuth og hans kone Dorothea af Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck , datter af hertug Friedrich Ludwig . Den 7. april 1734 giftede Sophia Charlotte sig med hertug Ernst August af Saxe-Weimar i Bayreuth og blev hans anden hustru. Hun blev begravet i St. James-kirken i Ilmenau .
