Bermeo ( spansk :  Bermeo ) er en kommune i Spanien , en del af provinsen Biscayen [2] som en del af det autonome område i Baskerlandet (autonomt samfund) . Kommunen er en del af Busturiyaldea-Urdaibay- distriktet (comarca) . Det optager et areal på 34,12 km². Befolkning - 17.078 personer (for 2011 ). Provinshovedstaden ligger 33 km væk.

Byen Bermeo blev grundlagt i 1236. Indtil 1602 var det Biscayens hovedstad,
