World Marathon Majors

World Marathon Majors  er en række årlige konkurrencer blandt maratonløbere , der har været afholdt siden 2006.

For deltagelse i maraton tildeles atleten point. 1. plads - 25 point, 2. plads - 15 point, 3. plads - 10 point, 4. plads - 5 point, 5. plads - 1 point. Stillingen inkluderer at komme ind i top fem ved følgende maratonløb: Boston , London , Berlin , Chicago og New York maraton i 2006-2012, og siden 2013 er Tokyo maraton kommet ind i serien [1] . Der gives også point ved det olympiske maraton og ved maraton som en del af verdensmesterskabet .

I 2015 blev scoren revideret: 1. plads - 25 point, 2. plads - 16 point, 3. plads - 9 point, 4. plads - 4 point, 5. plads -1 point [2] . De to bedste resultater i scoringsperioden tæller med i rækkefølgen (før revisionen af ​​scoringssystemet inkluderede ranglisten de fire bedste resultater).

Vinderen af ​​serien tildeles en pengepræmie på US$500.000 [3] .
