The Blackout er et post-hardcore / hardrock- band fra Wales , dannet i 2003 [1] . Efter at have åbnet for Lostprophets på deres Liberation Transmission- turné med Dopamine , Covergirl, Kids In Glass Houses The Guns and Men, Women and Children , udgiver de deres første EP, The Blackout! Blackout! Blackout! . I oktober 2007 udgav bandet deres debutalbum, We Are the Dynamite . Deres anden indspilning, The Best in Town blev udgivet på Epitaph Records den 25. maj 2009 i Europa og den 23. juni 2009 i USA. Bandet afsluttede indspilningen af deres tredje album, som fik titlen " Hope " og blev udgivet den 4. april 2011. I 2013 udgav bandet deres fjerde studiealbum, Start the Party . I 2015 annoncerede bandet sit brud [2] .
