IZ Andromedae ( lat. IZ Andromedae ) er en dværgnova , dobbelt kataklysmisk variabel stjerne af typen U Gemini (UG) [2] [3] [4] [5] i stjernebilledet Andromeda på afstand (beregnet ud fra parallakseværdien ) på cirka 3085 lysår (ca. 946 parsecs ) fra Solen . Stjernens tilsyneladende størrelse er fra +20,5 m til +15,4 m [6] . Omløbsperioden er omkring 5 timer [7] *.
Karakteristika
Den første komponent er en OB [6] [8] tiltagende hvid dværg .
