François-Xavier Gillot ( fransk François-Xavier Gillot ; 12. september 1842 , Autun , Bourgogne - 8. oktober 1910 , ibid ) - fransk botaniker , mykolog , læge .
Biografi
Indtil 1865 studerede han medicin i Paris. Da han vendte tilbage til Autun i 1869, arbejdede han som læge for kardinal Perrault, en retslæge og læge for jernbaneselskabet Paris - Lyon - Middelhavet .
Interesseret i botanik. Han samlede et betydeligt herbarium , hvoraf nogle af planter nu bærer hans navn. Medlem af French Botanical Society siden 1876.
Han var medlem af 19 videnskabelige selskaber. I 25 år ledede han Autun Museum of Natural History. Han var grundlægger og formand for Autun Natural History Society.
Tildelt guldmedaljen fra Academy of Dijon .
