Beskrivelse
Alle billers ben er 5-segmenterede. Kæbepalperne består af 5 segmenter, og labiale palper består af 4. Kroppen er parallel eller indsnævret bagud fra siderne. De findes under rådnende dyr og planterester, i gødning, under ådsler og nedfaldne blade, i gnavergrave. Larver er parasitter af fluepuparia (gennemgår hypermetamorfose ) [2] .
