Wilhelm af Hessen-Philippsthal ( tysk : Wilhelm von Hessen-Philippsthal ; 29. august 1726 [1] , Philipsthal , Hessen-Kassel - 8. august 1810 [1] , Philipsthal , Kongeriget Westfalen ) - Landgrave af Hesse-Philippsthal fra den Hessens hus .
Wilhelm er den ældste søn af landgreve Charles I af Hessen-Philipsthal og hans hustru Caroline Christina (1699-1743), datter af hertug Johann Wilhelm af Sachsen-Eisenach . I 1770 efterfulgte han sin far i Hessen-Philipsthal.
Wilhelm var i hollandsk tjeneste som general for kavaleri og tjente som guvernør i 's- Hertogenbosch . I 1806 blev Philipsthal taget til fange af franskmændene og underordnet kongeriget Westfalen .
Den 26. juni 1755 i Tournai giftede Wilhelm sig med sin kusine Ulrika Eleonora (1732–1795), datter af landgreve Wilhelm af Hessen-Philipsthal-Barchfeld . De blev født:
